[Case Study B001] Lenormand Business Reading: Garden-Tree-Mountain| How to Interpret a Lenormand “No” in the Early Stage of Entrepreneurship
Previous Recap
Before we start today’s Lenormand case analysis, do you still remember the question from the previous Case Study blog?
“If the spread were Gentleman (Topic) – Garden (Does What) – Letter (How), would heating be turned on on November 1st?”
https://heynuviora.com/lenormand-case-study-why-the-heating-didnt-turn-on-on-november-1st-gentleman-garden-book-explained/
The answer was still no. Although the Letter card usually represents direct and clear message, the overall spread didn’t include any sign of actual heating action — so the result remained negative. This logic is common in the Lenormand system: a clear message ≠ an actual event.
This Case Overview| Lenormand Reading for an Online Business
Question: The client asked whether their newly opened online store could reach an income goal of XX USD by the end of July.
Spread Structure: Main Card – Clarifier 1 – Clarifier 2
Lenormand Cards: Garden – Tree – Mountain
Outcome: The target was not reached.

Garden (Main Card)|Social Exposure and Brand Visibility
In the previous blog, we mentioned:
“The Garden card is all about public space, social visibility, and interaction.”
https://heynuviora.com/lenormand-case-study-why-the-heating-didnt-turn-on-on-november-1st-gentleman-garden-book-explained/
As the main card, the Garden directly represents the client’s online store — a public space that stands for brand exposure and community visibility. It also indicates that the store has already launched, and potential customers can now view and explore its products or services.
Tree (Subcard 1)|Steady Growth and Patience
In nature, a tree grows from a seed — slowly taking root, sprouting, and reaching upward. It takes time and nourishment to mature. The same applies in Lenormand.
The Tree symbolizes life, health, and long-term growth. It represents the process of laying foundations and investing time. Its appearance clearly shows that the client’s store is in the rooting phase.
This is not the time for rapid, explosive income. Instead, it’s the stage to build trust, nurture customers, and optimize systems. The Tree reminds us that patience is the most valuable investment right now.
Mountain (Subcard 2)|Short-Term Obstacles and Real Challenges
The Mountain is one of Lenormand’s classic “obstacle cards.” It stands for delays, barriers, or external challenges. In this case, it clearly indicates that the client’s income goal is difficult to achieve in the short term.
Possible reasons include:
- Marketing barriers: Limited funds or experience make traffic growth difficult.
- Logistics or supply issues: Shipping delays or stock shortages hurt customer satisfaction.
- Time limitation: The goal deadline (end of July) is too close to the store’s launch date.
The Mountain does not symbolize failure; it represents a temporary bottleneck — a mountain that simply takes more time to climb.
Combined Interpretation|Business Meaning of Garden + Tree + Mountain
These three Lenormand cards form a clear picture of an entrepreneurial cycle:
| Card | Stage | Keywords |
| Garden | Initial exposure | Market entry, social interaction |
| Tree | Growth phase | Foundation building, time investment |
| Mountain | Resistance phase | Delay, challenge, patience |
Combined insights:
- Garden + Tree: The new store is taking root and needs time to stabilize its customer base.
- Tree + Mountain: Challenges are many and growth is slow, but this is a normal part of the process.
- Garden + Mountain: Short-term goals are hard to achieve; expectations and timelines should be adjusted.
Conclusion
The result — “not reaching the goal” — is not a failure, but part of a natural growth rhythm. Lenormand emphasizes practical, reality-based insight: when faced with slow or obstacle-heavy combinations, the best strategy is to follow the rhythm, refine the structure, and keep moving steadily forward.
A Question for You
Even though this is just a simple three-card spread, if the client wanted practical advice — what would you suggest?
